Richard Meure

Rick has been a California POST Certified Firearms Instructor since 1993. He recently retired after a 28 year career from a Bay Area Police Agency in which he served has a primary firearms instructor. Along with being one of the Snipers for that agencies tactical team he was also a member of a county-wide counter terrorism team. Rick provided firearms and tactical training to both of these groups on a regular basis. Along with his POST certification he is also a NRA Certified Instructor and a NRA Life Member. Rick is a Heckler and Koch (HK) MP-5 Instructor, HK Shoothouse Instructor, Urban Tactical Rifle Instructor and a POST Certified Patrol Rifle Instructor. He has trained with several of the firearms industry top instructors over the years. Rick is also a HK, Colt, Remington and Glock armorer.


Rick has competed regularly in the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office Best in the West SWAT Competition, finishing 2nd overall out of 150 SWAT Operators in 2002. In 2007, along with his spotter Nick Perna, he won the Best in the West Sniper Competition.


Besides firearms instruction, Rick is a POST Certified Defensive Tactics Instructor. He also holds a Black Belt in Krav Maga.


Currently Rick teaches firearms, defensive tactics and first aid at a local Police Academy.


Prior to his law enforcement career, Rick spent three years in the late 1980's in the United States Army where he was a member of the 3rd US INF - The President's Honor Guard. While there he earned an Expert Infantryman's Badge and a set of Air Assault Wings

Reid Lindblom

Reid retired after a 30 year law enforcement career from a local Bay Area police agency has a lieutenant. During his career he worked several assignments to include patrol supervisor, street crimes enforcement unit and as the supervisor for his agencies K9 unit.


Reid spent 23 years of his career as a member of his agencies tactical team.  During that time he was also responsible for the firearms instruction for the team and for patrol officers.


After retirement, Reid conducts background investigations for several Bay Area agencies.


He is also a lead firearms instructor for a local POST Basic Police Academy

Nick Perna

Nick is currently a full time Police Officer with a Bay Area law enforcement agency where his additional duties include being a POST Certified Firearms Instructor. Nick served as a Team Leader on a multi-jurisdictional SWAT Team and was also the Sniper Team Leader. He has competed in the Best in the West and Urban Shield SWAT competitions. He has also served in numerous high risk assignments investigating gang and narcotics crimes and has been a member of several fugitive Task Forces.


In addition to his Law Enforcement experience, Nick served 13 years in the United States Army. He was a paratrooper and a platoon leader in the 82nd Airborne and served in Iraq in 2003 with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Arabian Peninsula. His awards include Airborne Wings, Air Assault Wings and a Combat Action Badge.


He has a Bachelor's degree from Jackson University and a Master's Degree from the University of San Francisco

Brad Johnson

Brad has been a California POST Certified Firearms Instructor since 1997. He is currently a retired Police Officer from a Bay Area Agency in which he served as a department firearms instructor. Brad is a member of the NRA and is also a certified AR platform and Glock Armorer.


Brad has previously competed in the California Police Olympics and received a medal in the pistol and action pistol competitions.


Brad is a recreational shooter and enjoys sporting clays and has a solid background in shotgun shooting along with long range rifle shooting. He is an avid reloader

Jess Ojeda

Jess recently retired from a south bay police agency after a 28 year career. He worked as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Detective and a patrol supervisor.


He also spent 5 years on his agencies tactical response team


For 12 years Jess was a department firearms instructor specializing in handgun, patrol rifle and impact munitions.


He is currently a Recruit Training Officer and Firearms Instructor for a local POST Basic Police Academy


Prior to becoming a police officer Jess was a member of a US Army Airborne Infantry unit stationed in Panama with multiple Central American deployments.
